If you visit ESRI Website for PC Configuration for GIS, you Get much lower requirements. But actually thet are written as "minimum to run" Means that only to run software not to process. For processing large data you need High End PC, otherwise your processor burn for long term use and procession of GIS software. Normally if your image is more than 4GB it take large amount of time to process, you cannot process whole state or country. If command given it take couple of hours or end with insufficient memory error. So here is PC Requirement if you are going to Build desktop or thinking about laptop. Model or made of pc does not matter, its configuration just matter.
